The path of the energy tycoon: advice from a nutritionist on the accumulation and expenditure of energy

Balancing debit and credit is necessary not only in finance, but also in relation to a much more valuable “capital” – one’s own vital energy. The balance of its production and consumption depends not only how much we weigh, but also our general well-being, mood, efficiency. Oleksandr Kushch, as a nutrition expert, family doctor and sports medicine doctor, gave some basic tips to help increase productivity.

So, every morning we start a new life – namely, with a healthy breakfast. The content of the plate should depend on whether mental work awaits us or physical. In any case, this is the most important meal and it should be dominated by complex carbohydrates. For the rest of the day, the best scenario is to eat as you feel hungry, because the body signals its own needs. The general logic is as follows: for lunch do not forget about soups, and in the evening do not stuff yourself as if it’s the end of the world.

Oxygen saturation also plays an important role. It is important to make sure that the cells receive their favourite treats. To do this, it is strongly recommended not to sit all day in a stuffy room: if possible, it should be constantly ventilated, and even better – find the time for a short daily walk. And, of course, no matter how much we walk, productivity is not favorably affected by alcohol abuse, smoking, addiction to sweets, which provokes a “carbohydrate swing”. With such a “diet”, you can quickly find yourself on the verge of exhaustion and burnout.

And is it permissible to stimulate yourself with special drinks? As a participant in the initiative “Consume Sensibly” Oleksandr Kushch summarizes: yes, absolutely. “You can drink a cup of coffee or a tonic energy drink if you need to get an immediate dose of extra energy. Energy drinks consist of substances familiar to us, which are also very useful. These are usually caffeine, taurine, B vitamins: all these ingredients are widely used in medical and sports practice, as well as being part of our daily diet. It is absolutely safe to use them if you follow the rules this has been proven by respectable research,” said the expert.

A new article on this vital topic was published on November 29 on the website. It is called: “How to save and increase energy during the day: 6 life hacks”. Happy reading!
