New Products Group helped organize a summer camp for orphans

Helping children is an investment into our common future. In adhering to this unwavering principle, New Products Group collaborates with the International Charity Fund “Sunshine”, which cares for orphans and children from families with complicated life circumstances. In particular, our company assisted in organizing a summer tent camp for children.

“We agree with the position of the founders of the Children’s Centre “Sunshine”, who consider the dignity of every child its main value. Dignity, self-esteem, joy for life – every child deserves these things, and if they are not lucky enough to have the full care their family, then other adults should come to their aid. By supporting such projects, we are contributing to our own future”, –comments Elena Selutina, PR Director of New Products Group.

The charity fund “Sunshine” and the non-government Children’s Social and Rehabilitation Center “Sunshine” introduce and popularize a unique method of rehabilitating children with post-traumatic stress disorder – Pedagogy of Adventure. Of course, camping is the best way to implement this technique. The project started back in 2001, and the 35th and 36th camp shifts under the name “Living like Indians” have already taken place this year.

Living among nature, on the island of Lyubichev in the village of Sobolevka in the Brovary district of the Kyiv region, the “young Indians” swam in the river, learned to kayak and ride on catamarans, went on hikes, played team sports, cooked food on an open fire and performed on the stage, as well as took master classes in making toys, bags, jewellery and traditional Native American outfits.

“We are glad that we managed to successfully organize this year’s camp. And that was largely thanks to you! We thank New Products Group for their long-term support of our centre and, in particular, our summer camp. Thank you for believing in us! We hope to continue our cooperation and friendship,” – expressed her gratitude Maria Muradkhanian, Project Manager of the International Charity Fund “Sunshine”.

This summer, 100 volunteers from different parts of the world were working at the camp. In addition to a large Ukrainian team, helping organize the camp were teams from Germany and Poland, as well as some volunteers from Canada, Belarus and Switzerland. In total, 198 children stayed at the camp this year. These are children deprived of parental care, orphans, children from large families, adoptees, as well as children from crisis families of the Brovary district.
